Week 3

Posted on: Monday, March 15, 2021 12:11:54 PM EDT

Hi Students,

Welcome to week 3. I will be grading your branching exercise this week. Please make sure you review the rubric as I always provide feedback on ways to improve. Use the comments to help you for the next branching exercise.

This week you will be learning about cardiac arrhythmias. You will have a 10 question knowledge check. The questions are short answer. But some of the answers may only be one word. You will also need to identify rhythms on EKG strips.

I know these knowledge checks are only 10 points each, but they end up being 15% of your grade, so please make sure you complete on time and answer all the questions to be eligible for maximum points.

Your knowledge check is due March 22 @ 0159 est.

Also, here are some links to the American Heart Association website on common non-invasive cardiac tests and invasive cardiac tests so you can get more familiar with tests you may be ordering and interpreting.

If you look under doc sharing, you will find study guides for the midterm and final exam.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Please let me know if there are any questions, concerns, comments.

Best,

Week 3: Management of Arrhythmias

When you encounter issues with the heating and cooling system in your home, a technician can typically help diagnose and resolve the issue. Part of this resolution may include regular maintenance and upkeep.

The resolution to arrhythmia problems depends on type and severity of the issues. Options include medications, invasive therapies, electrical devices, or surgery. It is also possible that regular maintenance in the form of lifestyle changes are required or necessary.

This week, you examine strategies and options for effectively managing arrhythmias. You explore diagnostic approaches, and you examine the appropriate tactics for managing arrhythmias once diagnosed.

Learning Objective – NRNP 6566F Week 3: Management of Arrhythmias
