Visit the Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform (TIGER) website and listen to the podcast, Health IT in Action Podcast Episode #1: An Introduction to TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) April 15, 2016 (Duration: 14:55). Go to The Association of Colleges and Research Libraries and review the information literacy standards for higher education. Again, note the relationship between the information literacy skills at this site and on pages 18–66 of the American Nursing Association textbook. Then, answer the following questions:
- If a healthcare organization is considering hiring a nursing informaticist, one consideration is that such a role does not involve direct patient care. How can this role be justified?
