Part One Short writing assignment-(IALR). Each week you will share: A) 8-10 insights(I) from the work of the week( Below in ‘F’) B) share two ways you could apply (A)the information you read or learned during the week, C) list two of the least (L) clear concepts or topics of the week and lastly, D) Share one helpful resource (R) you found this week in all the reading you did either for this class, another class or during your work and state why the resource is helpful. F) Work of the week: Weekly Summary: This week we will discuss the opportunities that exist for APRNs to lead and serve related to Population health and Health Promotion. Weekly Learning Objectives 1. Understand the various Social Determinants of Health(SDH) and think about how the SDH interface with your practice in the future.

2. Understand the significance of Health People 2020 & 2030. 3. Distinguish between various levels of health promotion and clinical prevention (aggregate, population, primary, secondary, tertiary) 4. Review care delivery models and identify strategies that lead to positive outcomes in each. Part Two: Healthy People Comparison Write a short paragraph comparing and contrasting Healthy People 2020 to Healthy People 2030 noting especially the various levels of health promotion and disease prevention.

Part Three: Letter to Future Employer LETTER TO FUTURE EMPLOYER: This formal scholarly letter is written to a current or future employer to explain why a DNP prepared nurse should be hired over a non-DNP nurse. You could write about the scholarship of DNP prepared nurses with implications for the future of nursing; you could discuss ideas for your proposed project and how this can help in the new role; you could use the AACN DNP ESSENTIALS to frame the letter and how this will help in your future role and your future employer and how the project may affect patient outcomes. Letter will be evaluated based on: Clearly written, formal scholarly letter, with wellarticulated reasons and statements for hiring a DNP prepared nurse using references when appropriate and in appropriate APA format.
