Medical challenges are of great number whereby the society is vulnerable of losing their family members if solutions are not provided. Moreover, opioids are painkillers that are used to relieve severe pain while Medicare programs are insurance coverage that are issued by American government to reduce bills for the elderly who are sixty-five years and above or those who are below sixty-five years and are disabled. Issue Description Opioids are drugs that are used to relieve the body from severe pain and as well as making someone to relax by deviating from all pressuring issues accumulated in their head (Manchikanti et al, 2015). The importance of this drug is that, once used as it is prescribed by the doctor; an individual can do away with pain that might be disturbing them. As well, if opioids are misused especially when someone gets addicted and therefore cannot run their daily activities without them becomes an issue and therefore becomes a weakness of the drug (Manchikanti et al, 2015). Opioid is a very strong drug and when people get used to it, upon taking other painkillers into their paining system, it obviously does not work as intended. Current Strengths and Challenges HEALTH CARE ADVOCACY PLAN 3 On the other side, Medicare programs are insurances offered by the American government to cater for the elderly and disabled bills while undergoing treatment. This program has enabled the Americans who are not capable of supporting themselves through economic means with the opportunity to access proper medical care (Hibbard et al, 2018).

Additionally, though Medicare programs have been announced by the government and implemented in different hospitals, the elderly and the disabled have no clue whether such programs exist due to lack of civic education. This is one of the reasons that the elderly spent most of their time at home and have no one to educate them since everyone in their families is chasing after achieving their economic dreams daily. Expected Allies and Opponents Opioid ally is diclofenac whereby it can be used to substitute in relieving pain whenever someone is experiencing severe pain or has inflammation on their body. On the other side, individual insurance coverage has managed to help individuals to get medical services without incurring cost in terms of cash and this has been working for years perfectly. Goals and Objectives Additionally, basing argument on goals and aims, supplying medical care to the disabled and elderly even without confirming whether someone is covered by the government insurance coverage program could serve a better purpose in treating the elderly and the disabled (Hibbard et al, 2018). As well, opioids should only be given to those individuals who have a prescription from the doctor as well as giving alternative medication such as diclofenac to relieve pain for it will reduces chances of getting addicted to opioids (Manchikanti et al, 2015). Strategy Development and Implementation HEALTH CARE ADVOCACY PLAN 4 For the case of opioids, the government should issue a warning on selling and misuse of this drug (Manchikanti et al, 2015). The warning will restrict medics from prescribing and selling opioid due to their greed for money. As well, those addicted would not be able to have access of the drug without first supplying a prescription from the doctor. In addition, the government should as well sponsor individuals to go house by house and meet the elder one on one and explain on the importance and existence of Medicare programs (Hibbard et al, 2018). Civic education will be the best strategy of dealing with cases of ignorance in the American society. Monitoring and Adjust In monitoring and adjusting, there is need for United States of America to turn against using opioids and instead look for alternatives that are available in the market. The government should implement methods of keeping those individuals with special needs close for a better medical planning (Hibbard et al, 2018). Healthcare Career Perspective Discussion.

As well, those who were using their personal coverage for treatment can be recommended to start using Medicare programs for them to be attended without incurring any cash costs. In addition, those who are used to using opioids can be taken for counseling and be provided with a reduced number of opioid drugs upon craving for them and the urge of taking more drugs than prescribed will be reduced (Manchikanti et al, 2015). As well, those addicted will be working closely with their counselors and therefore being told about the dangers accompanied by opioid over dosage. Healthcare Career Perspective Discussion.

Conclusion In conclusion, a healthcare advocacy plan makes sure that solutions towards medical issues in the community are found and people have no complains about being exposed to health risks. Opioids are dangerous drugs if misused or overused. Consequences are unavoidable when HEALTH CARE ADVOCACY PLAN 5 individuals take medication for their own purposes without considering going for prescriptions from the doctor. It is recommended that, if someone wants to buy a certain drug over the counter, they must produce a prescription from the doctor and if not, so they are not going to be attended to. This measure has a great ability of reducing risks of being addicted or killed by overdoing opioids. As well, the elderly in the community should be educated on the importance of having medical insurance for it will save them a lot in terms of catering for medical bills.
