Conceptual framework is an idea of the researcher on how the research problem will be explored. According to Connelly, theory is simply a representation of some part of reality that covers adverse effects of a phenomenon, (Connelly, 2014). A theory cannot be seen as being right or wrong when delivering content about a particular situation. A theoretical framework is meant to give one an overview or a general understanding of a particular concept. It is a matter of scholars and researchers to come up with viable and accurate speculations and conclusions about the condition under research.

Incorporation of the theoretical framework and conceptual frameworks in qualitative research should only base on one theory. On the other hand, conceptual frameworks have to utilize the concepts that are gathered from other theories to make research successful. Green asserts that the tools that are utilized are far more important than the use of the terminology itself. Green continues to assert that most of the researchers have employed the grounded model theory which is has utilized inductive reasoning in the research, (Green, 2014).

The common theme realized in the concept of utilizing the theoretical framework in research is the functional domain. Nolan theory suggests that a theoretical framework should be practical to prove its worth. The conceptualization of the research should be based on clarification, understanding and integrating all the pieces that are in a puzzle that had been researched on in the previous years, (Nolan, 2016). The concepts in his field of study are the basis of his conceptual research. Other researchers claim that research that has been conducted without a theoretical framework and conceptual framework simply means that there is no evidence for the findings.
