This paper has 3 parts to it: 1) a presentation (Can be a powerpoint or pamphlet, etc) 2) a work plan proposal 3) and a teaching experience paper. It must be within in my community and I selected the Sacramento Crisis Nursery where parents can drop of their children in crisis. Some items I can teach include safety, nutrition, or immunizations. Communication is a critical piece of this management. Whether the disaster is natural or a result of human actions, adequate preparation and training is imperative to ensure optimal outcomes. Preparing for disasters includes conducting a comprehensive assessment of risks, systems, and resources already in place.
